Exhibition at Marine Tech China 2025 and Establishment of a Local Corporation in China

Japan Engine Corporation (hereinafter "J-ENG") will be exhibiting at the maritime trade show MARINTEC China 2025, held from December 2 to 5, 2025.

MARINTEC China is the world's largest biennial exhibition, and this year, over 2,200 companies and organizations, including 16 regional pavilions, are expected to participate. Under the theme of this exhibition, "Innovation and Collaboration for Maritime Sustainability," there is increasing attention on next-generation fuel technologies aimed at achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. At the J-ENG booth, we will showcase cutting-edge technologies, including the ammonia-fueled engine (UEC50LSJA) and hydrogen-fueled engine (UEC35LSGH), which have been commercially completed ahead of the world, as well as the latest model of the UEC-LSH series, the UEC60LSH engine.

The J-ENG booth is located at N1B3A-04 within the Japan Pavilion in Hall N1, so we warmly invite you to visit us at the venue.

Additionally, J-ENG has established a wholly-owned subsidiary in Shanghai, China, named Japan Engine Corporation (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

In recent years, China has been strengthening its presence in the shipbuilding market. Licensees there have continued to expand production of UE engines, and the number of vessels equipped with these engines is steadily increasing.

To respond to this trend, J-ENG opened a customer support center in Shanghai in August 2023, with engineers stationed to provide enhanced support for customers and licensees in China. We are now taking this a step further by establishing a local subsidiary to reinforce and expand our support system. The new subsidiary will provide a wide range of technical assistance and after-sales services, including onboard visits to vessels equipped with UE engines, parts supply, and support for domestic shipowners, ship management companies, and licensees in China. Through these efforts, we aim to further grow J-ENG’s licensing and after-sales service business.

As a global licenser, J-ENG will continue to leverage its integrated system—from development to after-sales service—to deliver high-quality support, contribute to the safe operation of our customers’ vessels, and enhance customer satisfaction. At the same time, we will work to further strengthen the brand value of UE engines in the Chinese market.

The information of the new subsidiary is as per the following.
- Name: Japan Engine Corporation (Shanghai)
- Location: Changning District, Shanghai, China
Capital amount: CNY 2.5 million
Ownership structure: A wholly-owned subsidiary of J-ENG
